8TH GRADE BAND Marching Experience 2025

We are happy to present an opportunity for our 8th grade students to mix and mingle with our high school marching band! The following is the schedule for the night.

Thursday, September 18th, 7:00 P.M. = Eagle Stadium @ BMS

- Please have your student to the BMS Band Room to grab their materials at least 10 minutes prior to the event. Since this is a combined RMS/BMS/HHS event, we cannot start until ALL students are present. Students who are involved with a fall sport should contact their coaches concerning any conflicts! Any conflicts can be worked with. This night is fun and we look forward to giving your student their best first impression of high school!

- Students should plan on bringing their cases and music binders to the stadium.

- Please make sure your student is wearing athletic shoes to march in. If it is going to be chilly, I encourage students to have a sweatshirt or light jacket. In case of weather, we will hold the event inside BMS. We hold this event rain or shine!

- Students will participate in different stations, experiencing a snapshot of life in the high school marching band. We will conclude with a full-ensemble performance at 8:30pm. At the end of rehearsal, there will be refreshments provided by the Hudsonville Band Boosters!  It is our goal to be completed by 8:45pm. You can plan on picking up your student from the BMS Band Room at 8:55pm (at the very latest).

- Parents are encouraged to attend the performance at 8:30pm! Our HHS Marching Band will also be performing for students at 7:05pm if you are interested. This is an excellent chance to get a glimpse of our high school band program!
