High School Bands

Hudsonville High school has a lot of different opportunities for their band students.


Hudsonville Marching Band The marching band is a competitive ensemble that meets as a class, 5th hour, first trimester. The marching band rehearses in the summer and 2 days a week, plus Saturdays in the fall. On Saturdays, the marching band competes around the state of Michigan and also performs at the fall concert, home football games and the Hudsonville Holiday parade.

Hudsonville Concert Band - Concert band meets 1st hour (2nd & 3rd trimester). The concert band is made up of 9th grade students and 10-12 grade students who did not audition into Symphony or Wind Symphony band.

Hudsonville Symphony Band - Symphony band meets 5th hour (2nd and 3rd trimester). The band is open to any 10-12 grade student. The students must audition into Symphony Band.

Hudsonville Wind Symphony Band
- Wind Symphony meets 4th hour (2nd and 3rd trimesters). An audition is required to play in Wind Symphony.

Hudsonville Jazz Band - Hudsonville now has jazz band as a class all three trimesters. First trimester is for experienced performers, second trimester is for students new to jazz, third trimester is for anyone with jazz experience

Hudsonville Pep Band- Hudsonville Pep Band is a volunteer ensemble. The students practice during the school day and will play at home basketball games for girls and boys. The band performs music from the pop genera featuring songs by Katy Perry, Lada Gaga, Metallica, Kansas, and many other pop/rock artists.

Hudsonville Winter Guard - The Hudsonville winter guard rehearses from November to April and competes in MCGC. Membership is open to any Hudsonville student from 6th grade through high school.

Hudsonville Winter Percussion - The Hudsonville Drum line rehearses from November to April and competes in MCGC. Membership is open to all Hudsonville students from 7th to 12th grade.
